Oh no, not me crying at work again.
Connor Strapp, of Raleigh, N.C., shared a video of his family surprising his grandmother with a new puppy shortly after she had to put down her own beloved dog.
In the tear-jerking clip, which has since been viewed over 3.9 million times, the family coyly ushers in the new puppy while sitting on their backyard patio with another one of their dogs.
“Who’s that?” Strapp’s grandma asks, noticing that suddenly, there seems to be one dog too many out on the terrace.
“That’s Missy,” another one of her grandkids replies. Strapp also notes in the video that “Missy” was the name his grandmother had pre-selected for her next dog.
“Where did you get her?” she asks, before realizing what’s going on and becoming overwhelmed with emotion at precisely the exact same moment I did.
Thankfully, I’m not the only one in tears here — Strapp’s grandmother seems to be having that effect on everyone.
“I’m sobbing,” one user wrote.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying, you just can’t see me through your tears,” said another.
“You can tell they are going to be best friends forever,” wrote a third.
Since the video went viral, TikTokers have elected Strapp’s adorable grandmother as the collective grandparent of everyone on the video-sharing platform, and I cannot help but agree with the sentiment.
“She’s our grandma now,” one user commented on the clip.
Can’t wait to see her at family reunions.
