Man caught checking his phone as his bride walks down the aisle

Footage of a groom’s reaction to a bride walking down the aisle at their wedding is going viral, and unfortunately, it’s not exactly heartwarming.

In honor of their anniversary, TikTok user @taylortoks shared footage of the special day.

“Four years ago today, I walked down the aisle to marry the love of my life,” she wrote in the video.

In the video, the groom laughed and smiled as his bride, who was out of the frame, made her entrance. The song “Bound 2” by Kanye West was playing.

As he was smiling and it seemed the couple might be on the verge of an adorable interaction, he checked his phone.

“Husband of the year,” @taylortoks wrote. She included the crying laughing emoji, which suggested she had a good attitude about it all.

Some commenters were outraged.

“I’d turn around and walk away,” one user said.

“Divorce,” another summarized. “That’s suspicious.”

“Wedding canceled,” a third wrote.

Others offered possible explanations for his reaction. They suggested he might have been nervous, checking to make sure his phone was on silent or pulling up his vows.

“Everyone’s mad, but I bet it was a nervous reaction,” one user said. “People are so quick to judge.”

In response to one of the comments, @taylortoks confirmed that wedding jitters had just gotten the best of him.

“He was sooooo nervous! I thought it was funny,” she said. “He did have the vows on his phone, but he didn’t need to pull them up at that moment.”

In a follow-up post, @taylortoks and her husband joked about the incident, confirming their good attitude about the whole situation.

“Babe, TikTok wants to know why you were checking your phone while I was walking down the aisle,” she said.

“‘Cause crypto never sleeps,” he said, with a smile on his face.

A stone-faced @taylortoks simply responded by saying, “we’re still married.”

Though the wedding might not have been totally perfect, their lighthearted attitude about the slip-up years later is proof that marriage is about more than just the ceremony that makes it official.
