Freckles are no longer sunspots that lead to playground taunting. In fact, they’re now the most in-demand beauty look. But if you don’t have natural freckles, don’t worry: Gen Z has a hack to fake it.
Freck is the go-to viral product for creating temporary freckles. The faux freckle cosmetic pen provides long-wearing beauty marks anywhere on the skin. And the freckled look, which is popular among Gen Z teens, is so easy to create with the product.

The product is available in one color that you can blot for a lighter shade or build upon for a darker shade. And yes, the brand says Freck is compatible with all skin tones.
Freck Beauty recommends lightly applying the product as a cluster of dots, and letting them sit or “develop” on the skin for a few seconds. Then using your finger you “copy and paste” the freckles by tapping them out across your skin.
For those with dark skin tones, the brand says to let the dots develop for several seconds before tapping. You can also build the product on dark skin for a more visible look.
Rapper Doja Cat used the product in her episode of Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, where you can see her application technique.
If you want cute freckles but still like to slather on that SPF (please do), here’s your must-try Gen Z beauty hack. The teens know what’s up.
