If you use a curling iron or a straightener, you know a major no-no is placing it on a delicate countertop, hanging it against the wall or even resting it on the toilet seat when it’s hot. That’s because it could melt or burn these surfaces, and nobody wants that. Chances are, you’ve figured out your own hack for storing your hot tools while they’re in and out of use. However, this Amazon gadget can make it even easier.

The Polder 2-in-1 Hot Sleeve acts as a stand to store your hot tools vertically — even when they’re hot. However, it also unfolds, so you can use it as a resting spot while you do your hair. And it has a cord holder to securely keep cords tucked away when they’re not in use.

You can use the Polder 2-in-1 Hot Sleeve with curling irons and flat irons up to 1.75 inches in diameter.

It’s especially great for traveling too. Once you’re done using your iron, place it in the sleeve and tuck it away into your suitcase. The sleeve protects items up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

TikTok user @teresalauracaruso brought the Polder 2-in-1 Hot Sleeve to our attention earlier this year with a post demonstrating how it works. Her video gained over 1.8 million views and for good reason. This tool is genius!

You can get one on Amazon for $12.99 or get a few for all of your hot tools. It comes in blue or gray. Seriously, it’s so simple, you’ll wonder why you never thought of getting one before.

However, if you already have a hair tool stand at home that you really love, you could also check out this 2-in-1 silicone mat and sleeve for traveling and more. It’s only $6.99 and has thousands of Amazon reviews to back it up.
