Where did the ‘How I love being a woman’ sound come from?

The “How I love being a woman” trend on TikTok is all about the beauty and horror of womanhood.

If you identify as a woman, you just have to laugh. Whether you’re dealing with double standards or are mocked for your preferences, at some point, you’ve got to see the comedy in it. Not because inequality is funny but because it’s the most humorous way to cope with it.

TikTok @starlingblue uploaded a montage of their favorite female-led films. They used a snippet of a character from Netflix’s Anne with an E saying, “How I love being a woman!”

Many have taken the sound to share their own commentary on what it means to be a woman.

“Ever since a girl on TikTok said she leave hair and fingerprints in all her Ubers, I leave hair and fingerprints in all my Ubers,” @brennalina said in a video

TikToker @dylanmulvaney used the sound to celebrate and affirm her identity as a trans woman in a vintage Versace dress.

“When your hormones are so strong that they bring your roommate her first period in months,” @dinosanddollyparton said in a video.

The user @wessliann joked she didn’t have to bother to drive well because of existing stereotypes about women drivers.
