Founders of inclusive fashion brand PRIVATE POLICY
Ages: 28, 29
Hometowns: Qingdao and Xining, China
The fashion designers met at The New School’s Parsons School of Design in New York City where they forged a bond that would eventually become PRIVATE POLICY, an inclusive fashion brand. Each of their collections addresses a different social issue, such as enslaved fishermen in Southeast Asia, globalization, and concerns of big pharma. With sustainability as the constant pursuit, they aim to bring awareness to diverse cultures, support communities and start meaningful conversations about what’s happening around the world.
In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, In The Know is highlighting changemakers making an impact on the world through cultural advancement, community leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation. See all of the honorees here.
