Hometown: St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands
As a native of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Kaylah Brathwaite has seen firsthand the effect that global warming has had on coastal and island communities as storms and hurricanes become more extreme and destructive. Formerly the Head of Operations at Zero Hour, Brathwaite has made it her mission to combat the climate crisis by empowering and educating youth activists, while taking into account what specific communities need to do so. She helped organize the Youth Summit Conference, and her writing has appeared in Teen Vogue.
