From luxury candles to fragrances, Jo Malone London is a leading brand that never disappoints. Many folks shy away from purchasing colognes and perfumes online for one simple and logical reason: There’s no way to smell them before buying. However, I’ve personally found that Jo Malone London is one of the few brands that describes its fragrances and notes so well that I’ve never been disappointed — and it helps that none of their fragrances are off-putting.
This continues to prove true with the iconic brand’s latest fragrance release: The Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne. Think of it as the most spot-on representation of spring in a bottle.
Jo Malone London Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne, $75 – $145
After just launching last week (on April 6), this beautiful floral scent quickly became a best seller at Sephora. In fact, shoppers loved it so much that both sizes (1-ounce and 3.4-ounce) sold out in under a week at the major retailer. Luckily, the fast-selling fragrance is still available at Jo Malone London.
So, here’s how it smells. I had the opportunity to check this fragrance out, and it’s by far one of the best spring and summer scents I’ve encountered in years. The floral notes are warm while still maintaining the integrity of the cherry blossom theme, making this perfect for both daytime and evening use.
It perfectly embodies the lightness of spring and has a delicate cherry blossom layer with a note of rose. All of these elements are brightened with sparkling bergamot that comes through in the background. If you’re curious about the notes for this one, check out the graphic below.
Though it already sold out at Sephora after just a few days, shoppers are still writing rave reviews for this new spring-perfect fragrance.
“I picked this up as an impulse purchase after smelling in store, and it is beautiful,” one five-star reviewer wrote. “In contrast to most other Jo Malone London scents, this one isn’t as intense. It’s actually quite light.”
Several other shoppers shared this sentiment, echoing that its lightness makes it the perfect fragrance for the warmer months.
“It’s light and fresh and so beautiful,” another shopper wrote before adding that this fragrance layers “so well” with other florals.
Snag Jo Malone London’s new Sakura Cherry Blossom fragrance now while it’s still in stock at Jo Malone London. And though sold out for online purchase across all Sephora locations, it’s available sparingly for the “Buy Online & Pick Up” option at a couple of locations.
