What is the Josh Fight? Social media users are preparing for an epic battle

There’s an epic battle brewing in a random field in Nebraska this April.

You may have seen the “Josh Fight” meme floating around social media. But after a year of anticipation, the brawl’s date is looming. Here’s everything you need to know about the momentous occasion for all people named Josh.

What is the Josh Fight meme?

In 2020, a mysterious man named Josh Swain created a Facebook group and invited anyone with the same name. The group was aptly called “Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh.”

“You’re probably wondering why I’ve gathered you all here today,” Swain said in the chat.

“Because we all share the same names?” one of the Joshs replied.

Then Swain responded with a shocking challenge.

“Precisely, 4/24/2021, 12:00 PM, meet at these coordinates, (40.8223286, -96.7982002) we fight, whoever wins gets to keep the name, everyone else has to change their name, you have a year to prepare, good luck,” Swain said.

The date of the fight is fast approaching

The fight is expected to take place on Apr. 24, 2021, and things are getting strange.

When the coordinates 40.8223286 Latitude and -96.7982002 Longitude are plugged into gps-coordinates.net it reveals the address:

Josh Fight, Northwest 56th Street, Lancaster County, NE 68524, United States of America

While we don’t know if any of the Joshes will show up, the internet is definitely anticipating the battle royale.

The Twitter account @pizzatime42_0 is dedicated to curating the best Josh Fight memes.

“Whats a guy gotta do to get invited to the Josh fight?” @loagosebetlela lamented

“On April 24th I will fight every other Josh in the world. And I will win,” @Joshen69 declared.

TikToker @user_67392017 promised to record footage of the fight, should it actually happen.

We’ll see who the supreme Josh shall be.
