If you’ve ever scrolled Instagram for interior design inspiration, you’ve likely come upon The Jungalow, especially if you’re a fan of lots of greenery. Filled with shots of rooms covered with gorgeous wallpaper, colorful throw pillows and patterns that will make you want to book a tropical escape immediately, The Jungalow account is more than just pretty images to screenshot for later.
Designer Justina Blakeney is the creative behind The Jungalow concept, lifestyle and online store, launched in 2017 after her design blog that first launched in 2009, grew a large following.
According to its website, The Jungalow prides itself on being “a place that will inspire you to tap into your own creativity, connect with nature at home and help you to bring good vibes home.” And as you’re browsing The Jungalow’s planters, rugs, furniture, artwork, bedding and more, you’ll feel those good vibes and that creative spark almost immediately — everything is swoon-worthy.
Not only does The Jungalow believe that plants have healing power, color can bring joy and good design increases the quality of life,” but the store is also in the business of giving back. To help foster the human-to-nature connection, The Jungalow plants at least two trees with every order. To date, the company has planted more than 52,000 trees and counting.
