The most iconic Kardashian memes in internet history

The Kardashians have been influencing culture, whether we like it or not, since “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” debuted in 2007.

Over the years, generous queens Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner have provided the internet with a steady flow of unforgettable, meme-able moments.

These are the most iconic Kardashian memes so far.

1. ‘If you know how I feel why would you say that…’

In 2012, during the series finale of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” Kim broke down into tears. She tearfully reprimanded Kourtney, saying, “If you know how I feel why would you say that.” The melodrama of it all made this meme a running gag for years to follow.

2. ‘Kim, there’s people that are dying.’

There’s nothing more relatable than lamenting the loss of an expensive earring while taking a swim in Bora Bora, right? Hardly, and even Kourtney knew that during this classic episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Kourtney checked Kim’s privilege when she said, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”

3. ‘You’re cute jeans’

Kris and Kendall were chatting one day when the Kardashian matriarch told Kendall, “Those are cute jeans.” Kendall replied, jokingly, “You’re cute jeans.” Then the miscommunication began. “Those are mine?” Kris asked. Kendall told her no. “Oh, I thought you said, ‘Your cute jeans.'” Kendall told her she did. Kris replied, “Those are my jeans?” And the rest is history.

4. ‘Riiise and shiiine’

In a staged tour of Kylie’s office, the head of Kylie Cosmetics showed her morning routine. She woke her daughter Stormi up with a song-like greeting, “Riiise and shiiine.” The video earned 8.7 million views in a week, thanks to the awkward moment.

5. ‘Maybe if you had a business you were passionate about…’

During a tense Christmas card photo shoot, Kim blew up at Kourtney once again. Kourtney wasn’t satisfied with the scheduling, which was arranged by Kim. Kim’s response was a succinct, “Maybe if you had a f****** business that you were passionate about, you would know what it takes to run a f****** business, but you don’t. So don’t even act like you know what I’m talking about.”

6. ‘This is a case for the FBI’

The family required a little help from the feds when nude photos of an underage Kourtney went missing. Kim hid the photos in her purse as a prank, but then her purse was stolen. Luckily, the photos never surfaced. But in order to locate them, Kris declared, “This is a case for the FBI.”

7. ‘You’re doing amazing, sweetie’

Another Kris classic. When Kim posed nude for Playboy in 2007, Kris was there with her own camera, egging her naked daughter on. “You’re doing amazing, sweetie” has remained in the pop culture lexicon ever since.

8. ‘Stop taking selfies, your sister is going to jail’

In 2007, the family drove Khloe to jail for violating her probation after a DUI arrest, and Kris did not appreciate Kim turning the moment into a photo op. “Kim, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister’s going to jail,” Kris said, scolding her.

9. ‘I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island…’

It’s 2020 and the Kardashian memes persist. In October, Kim shared that she surprised her “closest inner circle” with a surprise trip to a private island for her 40th birthday — during the COVID-19 pandemic – and Twitter lost it. Users reposted Kim’s text with photos of their own “inner circles,” like the cast of “Mama Mia” and “Midsommar.”

10. ‘Don’t be f****** rude!”

In this Season 2 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim beat Khloe with her handbag. She charged into the room shouting “Don’t be f****** rude!” as Khloe, Rob and Kourtney ate Chipotle. Iconic sister fight.

11. Kim Hiding in the Bushes

The origins behind the image of a mischievous-looking Kim hiding in the bushes are a lot less sinister than the photo implies. The mom was just trying to steal a glimpse of her daughter North in Kanye West’s “Only One” music video.

Then there’s that time Kourtney told Scott Disick to “ABCDEFG,” but no one quite understood what she meant. She explained, “It’s just a phrase I like to use that means the conversation is over. You’ve never heard that phrase? G [means] goodbye.” OK, whatever you say, Kourtney.

13. ‘I’m dropping hints that I’m…’

In an episode of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” Kim told the camera she was “dropping hints that I’m single.” But subtlety was not her forte. The next scene the show cut to was her flatly declaring, “I’m single.” Relatable content.
