North and Saint West have seemingly overcome their sibling rivalry.
The celebrity kids’ mother, Kim Kardashian, took to Instagram this week to reveal to her 158 million followers that her oldest daughter, 6, and her oldest son, 4, “get along now” after years of apparently not doing so.
The series of three photos shared by the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star show Saint and North giggling together and pointing at one another while hanging out in the trunk of an SUV.
Fans who are in the know when it comes to the Kardashian family were quick to declare “finally!” in the comments of the Instagram post, with one person saying “it took Northie almost a decade” to come around to her little brother.
Another fan explained that North and Saint can get along now because “they’re older,” adding that “brother and sister bonds are the best!”
Kim has been open about her struggles to get her oldest two children to get along in the past, opening up about their bickering while co-hosting “Live With Kelly and Ryan” back in 2017.
“I don’t know if it’s ’cause she’s the older sister…I don’t know what it is; I thought it was a phase. She does not like her brother. It’s so hard for me,” she told Ryan Seacrest in August 2017. “I thought it was like, ‘Okay, a couple months; she’s just warming up to it.’ She got so jealous when I would breastfeed and all that stuff. Now, the phase isn’t going away!”
The KKW Beauty founder added that North had been “outsmarting” her in ways to exclude her brother from her playtime.
“She’s like, ‘We’re having a tea party. No boys allowed. Dad can’t come. No boys!’ She’ll slam the door on her brother’s face, and he’ll just start crying.”
Kim also laughed as she revealed that Saint would egg North on by imitating her: “So if she’s crying, then he’ll just start fake crying. I’m like, ‘One of you! I can’t pick up both of you and figure it all out!'”
Kim Kardashian shares North and Saint with her husband of nearly six years, Kanye West. They’re also parents to Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 8 months.
