I am not someone who can try just any beauty product that catches my eye. Literally. My eyes are so sensitive that even products designed to be gentle have irritated them in the past. After a really bad reaction to a new mascara a few years ago, I’ve been super duper careful about what products I use around my eye area. This includes things like mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow, but it also goes for makeup removers as well.
To find the right makeup remover that didn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, I first started with micellar waters. They were great because they didn’t cause irritation, but many of them required more than one swipe to fully remove black eyeliner and/or waterproof mascara.
After reading tons of reviews online, I finally decided to splurge on the best-selling Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover for Sensitive Skin, and after the first use, I was hooked. Not only did this remover not make my eyes red or itchy, but it literally removed even the most stubborn dark eye makeup with just one gentle swipe.
Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover for Sensitive Skin, $27.20-$55.25 (Orig. $32-$65)
I am not the only person who loves and swears by Lancôme’s Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover for Sensitive Skin. It has rave reviews across the internet, but at Nordstrom, it has 4.8 out of 5 stars and more than 1,400 reviews.
One enthusiastic shopper commented, “I wear waterproof mascara only, and it takes a powerful remover to get it off. I never have to tug or rub with this product, unlike others. I also have the most sensitive skin around my eyes that reacts to everything. I currently have only one eye moisturizer that I can use due to allergic reactions. This stuff is like magic!”
Another customer wrote, “Rarely do I come across an eye makeup remover that doesn’t end up irritating my eyes, but this is one of them, and that’s despite the fact that it contains perfume! Using a cotton pad, I’m able to remove all traces of eye makeup, usually with no more than a couple of sweeps and zero stinging.”
If you’re interested in trying this amazing makeup remover for yourself, now is the time to do so. It rarely ever goes on sale, but right now, all three sizes are 15% off at Nordstrom. Grab a bottle for yourself ASAP and prepare to be hooked.
