YouTuber Lele Pons throws massive Halloween party amid pandemic

The U.S. is bracing for a third wave of COVID-19 cases — but you would never know it based on all the massive, celebrity-studded Halloween parties that happened over the weekend.

This past weekend, Kendall Jenner threw a birthday/Halloween bash at a rooftop bar in West Hollywood, allegedly with as many as 100 guests. And meanwhile, over in Miami, YouTuber Lele Pons hosted a huge Halloween party, which influencers from all over the country flew to Florida for.

According to influencer drama reporter Def Noodles, people who attended Pons’ party include the Dolan Twins, Juanpa Zurita, Colombian singer Sebastian Yatra, tennis player Adi Spiegelman and Diplo. In videos posted to social media, the influencers can be seen partying without masks and definitely less than six feet from each other.

Naturally, people were upset that Pons decided to throw a party as the pandemic rages on.

“My God, another party, like why these influencers or Youtubers are so entitled to throw parties whenever they want?” one person said. “If you care about yourself you would know not to throw a party.”

“These people suck,” another added.

“Influencers like Lele pons, Dolan twins and a hundred of other no-names had a party in Miami where people literally flew there for it,” a third wrote. “Covid ain’t gonna end with these idiots around.”

Based on the Emergency Order executed by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez on Oct. 23, gatherings of people “from different households, unless social and physical distancing guidelines are maintained,” are not permitted in Miami. Even if those guidelines are met, group sizes are not supposed to exceed 10 people at a time.

Celebrities have been partying it up amid the pandemic. Noah Cyrus, Bryce Hall, Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau are just some of the many other stars who have come under fire for either hosting or attending large gatherings without masks.
