June 1 marks the kickoff to LGBTQIA+ month, and tons of brands are launching collections created to commemorate the occasion. Today (May 15), ahead of the official Pride kickoff date, adidas debuted its 2021 Pride collection featuring revamped versions of some of the brand’s best-selling items like the Ultraboost sneakers and gender-neutral woven shorts.
The sportswear brand has collaborated with Athlete Ally through its Employee Resource Group network for several years and officially formalized a long-term partnership with the non-profit in 2020. Instead of a one-time donation, adidas contributes annual donations to more robustly push co-created programs and missions in service of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Similarly, adidas has partnered with Stonewall since the launch of its first-ever Pride collection. Like its relationship with Athlete Ally, instead of a one-off donation, the brand donates annually to accelerate more programs that directly benefit the LGBTQIA+ community.
adidas also co-creates its Pride collection with both Athlete Ally and Stonewall serving as two of the beneficiaries.
The 2021 adidas Pride collection includes everything from thoughtfully messaged “Love Unites” socks and woven shorts to revamped Ultraboost 5.0 DNA sneakers and gender-neutral pieces.
Check out a few favorites from the collection below.
The “Love Unites” Gender-Neutral Tank Top features bright graphics that mimic a seamless hand-drawn look. It also has a ribbed crewneck and extended armholes.
adidas’ 2021 Pride Tote Bag is a profession of self-love, friendship and solidarity with Pride-related graphics and the signature adidas logo.
This “Love Unites” Tee Dress is the perfect summer staple with its rainbow-outlined trefoil chest detail.
adidas is famous for its premium quality woven shorts and this gender-neutral pair is no different. These come in a collage of colors, reflecting the multiple identities that make up the LGBTQIA+ community.
Who doesn’t love a good slip-on shoe? These particular slip-on Nizza shoes are a nod to those who inspire us every day with their truths and those who honor them. Take a look at the heel design!
No adidas collection would be complete without a special Ultraboost inclusion. The brand gave one of its most popular sneakers a Prideful makeover with Primeknit upper pops with a patchwork of rainbow colors.
