TikTokers are now obsessed with figuring out what kind of lip shape they have. There’s really not much you can do with the information, but it’s helping people embrace the shape they’ve got.
What is the ‘Lip Chart’ trend on TikTok?
The “lip challenge” trend uses a lip chart with lips of all different shapes, sizes and categories, including “round,” “cupid-bow” and “heart-shaped.”
And like most trends on TikTok, this one is interactive. Take Alexis Juarez’s video, for example. She superimposed her lips onto the chart with the “Green Screen Eyes and Mouth” filter and put them next to each shape until she found the perfect fit: full lips.
How do you do the ‘Lip Chart’ trend on TikTok?
Creating a “Lip Chart” video requires a few simple steps.
First, find a picture of the lip chart on Google and download it onto your phone. Next, open Snapchat, go to the camera screen and pull up the filter options. Hit “create” and scroll until you find the “Eyes and Mouth” filter. Select the lip chart image as the background of your video, record the video, save it to your camera roll and upload it to TikTok.
You can also create your video directly on TikTok. To do this, open the effects options on the app and find the “Green Screen Eyes and Mouth” filter. Use the lip chart as your green screen background, and hit record!
Some examples of the ‘Lip Chart’ trend
User @purphair_dontcare wasn’t sure which shape most accurately represented her pout.
User @unizilla, meanwhile, was surprised by the results. She had “full lips” according to the chart, but she said she “lowkey always thought my lips were kinda small.”
Meanwhile, @clauglezfit was proud of her bow-shaped lips.
