Lizzo was the queen of the night during Sunday’s 62nd annual Grammy Awards.

The “Truth Hurts” singer, who was the most the most-nominated artist of the evening, slipped into a multitude of gowns, each one better than the last. From her Diana Ross-inspired Atelier Versace gown to her crystalized custom Christian Siriano number, Lizzo’s next-level fashion moments did all the talking.

However, her waist-grazing waves were not to go unnoticed — and thanks to a $17 hairspray, her long locks stayed perfectly intact throughout the whole night.

“I honestly love Matrix High Amplify Hairspray, it’s only $17 and I love how it leaves my clients’ hair frizz-free all day and full of body! It washes out so easily and leaves the hair build-up free, definitely a must-have in every stylist’s kit!”  Lizzo’s hairstylist, Shelby Swain, told In The Know.

“I wanted to do old Hollywood glam meets Cher ’70s luxurious hair! This is a big night for Lizzo and I wanted the hair to truly match the occasion,” Swain explained.

The finishing hairspray has become a best-seller at Ulta, racking up more than 200 reviews. The formula works to texturize and give an extra root lift, leaving hair shiny and locking in the style. Plus, it has 24-hour humidity resistance.

“Last all day! No damage to hair and can even go a Day without restyling. A very clean smell! My friend asked what fragrance I was wearing, it was my hairspray,” one Ulta customer shared.

  1. “To ensure Lizzo hair is picture perfect I began by cleansing and conditioning the hair using Matrix Total Results Dark Envy Shampoo and Matrix Total Results Dark Envy Conditioner. I love the Matrix Total Results Dark Envy Shampoo and the Matrix Total Results Dark Envy Conditioner collection, because they perfectly tone and remove any brassiness from the hair so that each snap of the camera is radiant and true to tone.”

  2. “For a big day like today, to alleviate any stress on the hair I reinforced the conditioner with Dark Envy Color Obsessed Mask to soften the hair, neutralize red tone and maintain it for the other looks of the day.”

  3. “Once her hair was cleansed and conditioned we began styling. The first look of the day was the Elegant Vintage wave, which I used the Matrix Total Results Curl Please Contouring Lotion on damp hair and then blew the hair with the GHD Blow dryer to create volume.”

  4. “Then, I curled and finished the hair using the GHD Curve Curling iron and Matrix Total Results High Amplify Proforma Hairspray and Matrix Total Results High Amplify Flexible Hold Hairspray to help build volume, lock in the style, but still provide the hair with natural movement. Lizzo glimmered on the red carpet and I owe that to great products and tools!”

Lizzo also served up a red carpet glow courtesy of Target’s cult-favorite skincare brand, Versed. Read more about that here.
