But if the task still sounds daunting don’t worry, In The Know has got you covered. This simple homemade linguini recipe is a great primer on your pasta machine’s basics. 


  • 2 1/2 cups of semolina or flour
  • 2 tbsp. of olive oil
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 4 large eggs


Place the semolina, olive oil, salt and eggs into a food processor or blender. Mix the ingredients until a grainy dough forms. Next, remove the mixture and knead it into a ball. Cover the dough ball in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then flatten the dough until it’s thin enough to pass through the press with a rolling pin.

Now get your Imperia Pasta Machine out. Run the sheet of dough through the press, then fix on the linguine noodle attachment. Run the pasta sheet through the attachment again to get perfectly cut linguine noodles instantly. Once you’ve made your noodles, boil them until tender. 

Finally, customize your linguine with however you like it. Try ground beef, spinach and tomato with your favorite sauce. There you have it, pasta from scratch completely demystified!
