Tune into Dragged every Thursday, where drag queens Marti Gould Cummings and Jasmine Rice LaBeija help to transform and make over everyday people into their dream versions of drag queens.
Ryan has always wanted to try drag, but he admittedly doesn’t have the beauty and style skills to pull off his dream pop diva look. On the latest episode of “Dragged,” Ryan enlists the help of hosts Marti Gould Cummings and Jasmine Rice LaBeija to bring his party girl drag and alter ego to life.
In the episode, Ryan shares with his drag mothers that he wants to channel Lady Gaga in his look, inspiring Cummings and LaBeija to choose sparkles and shimmer for his outfit. As for hair, get ready for a sky-high wig, honey.
While Ryan gets his makeup done to channel a glimmering sunset, he comes up with the perfect drag name for his blingy transformation. And that’s how Miss Hap was born.
“This is the look, b****,” Cummings says during the final reveal. “This is very, like, ‘90s club kid updated to today.”
Ryan says he feels sexy as Miss Hap, showing off lots of leg, endless sparkle and towering hair. As LeBeija puts it, Miss Hap certainly “feels the fantasy” — and herself — in the drag look.
As for a final word from the newly-minted queen: “This is Miss Hap saying, ‘No crying, no dying.” Yas, queen.
