McDonald’s employees compete to see who wraps burgers the fastest

Two McDonald’s employees appear to be competing to earn the title of “Employee of the Month.”

Detavise Glover and Melissa Katz both work at America’s favorite fast-food joint and were filmed competing to see who can wrap burgers the fastest.

It all started last May when Katz uploaded a video to TikTok to flex her food packing skills. In the video, six burgers sit on their respective wrappers. Katz goes down the assembly line quickly wrapping each burger. Then when she’s done with the last order, she pushes all six into the output section to continue along. Her serious skills racked up 6.3 million views on TikTok.

Glover’s first attempt at the challenge wasn’t exactly a winner. Although the video outpaced Katz’s and generated 8.8 million views, it was no competition. Glover is able to wrap all six pretty fast, but when he’s done he fumbles a bit. Instead of moving the burgers to their next station, he tosses the final order into the pile.

But the battle isn’t over yet. For his second try, Glover dueted Katz’s video to create a side by side. This time the race is on. Glover speeds down the line of unwrapped burgers and Katz trails behind him by what feels like a millisecond. Commenters agreed that Glover definitely won the second round.

“Both, but the one to the left was 1 inch faster,” one user commented

“Person on the left is faster by like .5 seconds, hahahaha,” another said.

“She would be faster if she didn’t touch the sandwich first,” one person wrote
