Streaking at any sporting event can create a world of trouble, but to streak at the Super Bowl — which has produced nine of the 10 most-watched television events in history and was viewed by 102 million people this year — is on a whole other level.
According to Fox News, security tackled a woman at the end of the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 as she attempted to charge the field and streak.
The woman has recently been identified as Instagram model Kelly Kay.
Streaking is the act of running naked through a public area as a prank or statement. It typically is never successful for those who do it and depending on what the streaker is interrupting, it can result in jail time, a hefty fine or both.
Another Instagram model, Colleen McGinniss uploaded footage to her profiile which showed Kay being escorted off the field, reported Fox News. McGinniss tagged Kay in the clip, which has since been deleted.
But then Kay herself confirmed the rumors by posting a series of photos onto her account, captioning it: “Do what you want, when you want, life’s too short to have regrets. Thanks @nfl for having me.”
Kay also tagged the account Vitalystreaking, which seems to be a barely used account set up several years ago to honor Vitaly Zdorovetskiy’s streaking pranks at the 2014 World Cup.
The series of pictures Kay posted include her being tackled, escorted off the field in disarray and her mug shot.
Zdorovetskiy recently got into trouble himself when he illegally sat on top of a pyramid in Eygpt. Despite him arguing that he made the climb “for a good cause,” it’s unclear what his motive was besides getting an Instagram picture.
