Mom defends choice to wax 3-year-old daughter’s eyebrows from the ‘parenting police’

A mom is going viral for waxing her 3-year-old daughter’s unibrow.

TikTok mom Leah Garcia admitted she was ready to deal with the “parenting police” after she posted a video that might seem controversial to some. After her negative experiences growing up with a monobrow, she decided to wax her toddler’s unibrow.

“IDC! IDC! I’d rather y’all call me a bad mom before I let my 3-year-old walk around with a unibrow like my parents did!” the caption read

The mom waxed her daughter’s brow in the middle. The little one flinched at the light pain. But the mom was satisfied with the results.

“My fellow Mexicans, y’all understand!” she wrote in the caption with a laughing emoji.

TikTokers supported the mom’s decision — and the mom made it clear this was her choice for her daughter specifically because of her own experiences growing up. It’s not something she expected every mother to do. The video received 27.5 million views, 3.5 million likes and 37,000 comments.

“Start young and the hair will barley grow later,” a user wrote. The mom replied, “EXACTLY!!! I was hoping someone would understand this.”

Another user noted that the “comment section passed the vibe check,” — meaning no one got too negative. Garcia responded, “I was honestly so surprised by it! I expected the parenting police to come for me so hard.”

“This was my biggest insecurity. You saved her,” someone wrote

“We live in a world full of mean people. You are protecting her in the best ways,” a person added

“Ugh I wish my mom did this for me. Got bullied so hard for my eyebrows and my arms,” a TikToker replied
