In the video, we see Amber’s mom holding a sign that reads, “If your parents aren’t accepting of your identity, I’m your Mom now… Drink some water. Wear your seatbelt. Make sure you eat. I love you!”

And judging by the reactions to Mom’s sign, it’s clear this is a message many people needed to receive. After reading her sign, complete strangers pull Amber’s mom in for a tight embrace, often with eyes full of tears.

But people at Pride weren’t the only ones crying! One look at Amber’s comment section, and it’s clear that all of TikTok has been deeply touching by her mom’s kindness and love.

‘There is so much emotion behind each one of those hugs…’

TikTokers, deeply moved by Amber’s video, jumped in the comments to praise her loving mom.

“It’s heartbreaking and warming to see a young adult or teen fall into the arms of a stranger bc their own parents won’t accept them. Keep loving, mom.” one user wrote.

“This made me cry so much. These are someone’s babies that they couldn’t love unconditionally, needed the love they couldn’t get,” another user commented.

“I’m a lesbian who’s estranged from her family, but I’m also a single mom who gives mom hugs at Pride. I need those hugs as much as you do most days,” wrote another user.

“Sad but heartwarming to see a stranger be more loving and accepting than their own families,” commented another user.

“There is so much emotion behind each one of those hugs. They needed that hug. So happy you’re doing this,” another user wrote.

To this, Amber replied, “Many people cried or whispered their moms didn’t accept them. My mom is amazing.”

“I wish my mother had a shred of compassion that your mother has in buckets. Props to supportive parents!” commented another user.

Amber responded to their comment, “My mother is an amazing person. I’m blessed to have her. Sending you love.”

If there’s one thing our world needs more of, it’s love, kindness, and acceptance! We should all be thankful for people like Amber and her mom working hard to spread love to their fellow humans.
