Mom shares what she buys her family of 14 at grocery store

This parent posted a video sharing how she buys groceries for her family of 14, and jaws are still dropping all over TikTok

TikToker Alicia Dougherty (@doughertydozen) is a content creator and mom of 12 who’s garnered a sizable following for her large family and incredible meal-prep skills. Recently, Dougherty posted a video where she shows viewers what groceries she buys for the week for her large family, and viewers are shook.

The clip begins with a shot of a shopping cart from Dougherty’s point of view. Several cases of water bottles, followed by an assortment of juice, Gatorade, sparkling water, and stacks of paper and plastic dining utensils, are the first items on the list, as shown in the following montage of Dougherty filling up the shopping cart—her first out of six.

After setting aside the first full shopping cart, Dougherty moves on to her second. In a few quick shots spliced together, Dougherty loads her second shopping cart to the top with numerous boxes of crackers, cookies, and other tasty snacks.

Moving on to shopping cart number three, Dougherty grabs a range of canned and jarred items, baking products, chips, granola bars, and cereal before topping off the cart with a layer of toiletries.

After filling her fourth shopping cart with flowers, meat, and bread products, Dougherty dedicates cart number five to dairy and frozen food, then adds it to her lineup of shopping carts at the front of the store.

Last but not least, Dougherty piles fruits and vegetables into shopping cart number six and heads to the checkout line before the video closes with a shot of a mile-long receipt

Viewers were astonished by what a week’s worth of groceries is like for the Dougherty family and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

“That’s my rent in one grocery trip,” one user noted.

“Cashier POV: *Sees her walking to the line and cuts the light off*,” joked one TikToker.

“My toxic trait would be spending that much and still ordering food when I got home,” another viewer said.

Grocery shopping for a family of 14 seems like a daunting task, but Dougherty clearly has the process down to an art form.
