Now you can finally see how drivers rated you on Uber. Deep breaths — but they’re probably not all going to be five-star reviews.
Uber announced all users can view a breakdown of their average rating in the app’s updated Privacy Center. It will show all of those glowing five-star ratings, all of the low-blow one-stars and your ratings in between. Your overall rating is an average of your most recent 500 trips. Luckily, Uber did provide some tips on how to be a better rider.
How to improve your Uber rating
The company recommends keeping a few guidelines in mind to be a more considerate passenger. Never leave a mess behind or slam the door of the vehicle. Drivers always appreciate it when riders buckle up, even if they’re in the backseat (it just makes it safer for everyone) and show up on time. And of course, rudeness is going to get some points taken away.
How to view your Uber rating
Step 1: Log into your account online or through the app. Open the “Settings” menu.
Step 2: Tap “Privacy” then hit ‘Privacy Center.’
Step 3: Swipe right. Next, select “Would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber?”
Step 4: Scroll down. Hit “browse your data,” and choose “View my ratings.” You should now be able to see a breakdown of your ratings.
