This TikTok parent shared the funniest video of her napping toddler refusing to let go of a sandwich, even though he’s asleep!
Eiri Munro (@eirimunro) is a mom and TikToker who shares adorable videos of her toddler son, George. George is a sweet and sometimes goofy toddler who enjoys singing with his mom and taking his stuffed animals on picnics. George also happens to take mealtime very seriously. In a hilarious video, Eiri shared the moment George fell asleep holding a sandwich, but would not let his mom take it away, despite the fact that he was napping!
The video begins with a shot of the toddler lying on the couch, fast asleep. He wears a t-shirt and jean jacket, and his legs are covered by a furry blanket. In his left hand, he clutches a half-eaten sandwich.
In an attempt to save her couch from crumbs, Eiri reaches out to remove the sandwich from the toddler’s hand. She places a hand on the toddler’s chest and tugs at his jacket, pulling him slightly closer to her. The sleepy toddler does not stir as his mom moves him around.
But then, Eiri reaches out and grabs the sandwich, attempting to tug it from George’s hand. Without opening his eyes, the toddler pulls his arm away, and mutters, “No.” Then, he goes right back to sleep.
Eiri reaches out and begins plucking a few breadcrumbs off of the toddler’s shirt. Then, she makes a second attempt at taking the sandwich away. Again, the toddler pulls his hand back and says, “No.”
He looks up at his mom, sleepily. It is clear the toddler wants to protect the sandwich but is having trouble staying awake. “Gotta stay awake to protect the sandwich,” Eiri writes in a caption.
After a moment, George’s eyes close, and Eiri tries again. This time, she manages to remove the sandwich from George’s hands. But at the last second, George reaches out and grabs the sandwich away from his mom. The video ends with George once again saying, “No.”
Viewers couldn’t get enough of the sleepy foodie!
“He’s training for the day he’s a dad that falls asleep with the TV remote,” one viewer joked.
“This is Joey Tribbiani as a child,” another viewer commented.
“George is sassy even in his sleep!” another TikToker wrote.
George certainly loves his sandwich!
