After releasing the No. 1 best-selling original Always Pan — which went on to become the most sold-out pan ever — Our Place didn’t slow down one bit. The woman-owned brand went on to release the Perfect Pot, a cutting board and knife set, and today, it’s adding another major release to its roster: A cast iron Always Pan.

Available today for pre-order, the new cast Iron Always Pan features the same game-changing ingenuity that made the original Always Pan a crowd favorite. If you can believe it, this new pan completely sold out in under 20 minutes when the brand first previewed it on April 5.

Our Place’s cast iron Always Pan is the first multifunctional cast-iron pan ever, letting you do everything from frying and braising to grilling and roasting, an all-in-one vessel.

Also, as an added bonus, the cast iron Always Pan comes with a modular glass lid, a beechwood spatula with a built-in spoon rest and custom silicone hot grips.

Fans of the OG Always Pan will also appreciate that this new release comes in all six signature Our Place colors: Steam, Spice, Char, Sage, Lavender and Blue Salt.

Built to last, Our Place’s premium enameled cast iron pan gives you the cooking benefits of a standard cast-iron skillet but without the headache or upkeep. It’s also oven- and broiler-safe, withstands high temperatures and seamlessly moves from the stovetop to the oven. And like the original Always Pan, this new cast-iron version is both nontoxic and free of PTFEs, GenX chemicals, heavy metals, lead and cadmium.

I recently had the opportunity to cook with the new cast iron Always Pan, and it’s quickly become one of my new favorite pieces of cookware. For starters, the pan is really beautiful. If you thought the original Always Pan was good-looking, I’m telling you the cast iron Always Pan is even more stunning. The enameled exterior is sleek and shiny, and it just looks so chic on the stovetop. Also worth noting, the cast iron Always Pan is significantly heavier than the original Always Pan. That shouldn’t be surprising given that the new pan is made from cast iron, but it’s still important to be aware of.

When it comes to cooking with the cast iron Always Pan, it really is a pleasure. So far, I’ve used the pan to cook beef, chicken and salmon, and they’ve all turned out beautifully with a nice crisp exterior. Unlike the original Always Pan which has an insanely good nonstick coating which makes it perfect for scrambled eggs and sautéing veggies, meats can stick to the cast iron Always Pan. However, that’s easily avoidable if you simply follow the cooking instructions, which explain that you do need to use a bit of oil in the pan while it’s heating up and then resist the urge to move around your meats until they’re ready. I know it’s hard, but just do it. Everything I cooked released perfectly from the cast iron Always Pan without any sticking at all when I just let it do its thing and didn’t poke it until it was done on one side.

Next, I plan to try using the cast iron Always Pan for an oven recipe. I’ve never made a Dutch baby (basically a giant pancake cooked in the oven), but I’m inclined to give it a try because they look so yummy, and they seem easy enough to pull off in the cast iron Always Pan. I may also try baking off a batch of biscuits in the pan, too.

Grab Our Place’s cast iron Always Pan now while it’s still in stock. Given that this is a new release, this pan is expected to sell out fast.
