TikToker shares clever hack for getting all the peanut butter out of the jar

TikToker Rachel Mansfield (@rachlmansfield) shared a brilliantly simple hack for getting all of the peanut butter out of the jar!

Mansfield is a chef and parent who crafts delicious recipes and shares them on TikTok. While Mansfield mostly shares recipe videos, the talented home chef took a break from cooking recently to share her genius hack for getting the last bit of peanut butter out of the jar. Her secret? Use a spatula!

The video begins with a close-up shot of a near-empty peanut butter jar. While there is still peanut butter stuck to the edges of the jar, the jar itself is woefully empty. Mansfield sticks a spatula into the jar as she explains, “This, my friends, is how you finish a jar of peanut butter.”

“Take your spatula and brush all the outsides,” Mansfield explains as she demonstrates her peanut butter removal technique. “It’s the easiest.”

In the next shot, Mansfield films herself as she continues to scrape peanut butter from the jar. “My husband’s favorite pastime is watching me do this for … the bottom of the jar,” she says as she removes peanut butter from the jar and takes a bite.

“Jordan, wouldn’t you agree?” she asks her husband, who is standing in the kitchen somewhere off screen.

“Classic Rachel right there,” her husband jokes.

“Literally, nothing brings me more happiness than doing this,” Mansfield explains, turning the peanut butter jar to face the camera. At the beginning of the video, the edges of the jar were covered in peanut butter, but now they are mostly clean and clear.

“The other day, I knew that the jar was almost done, and I was so bummed because my son had finished it or Jordan,” Mansfield recalls.

Then, taking one last bite of peanut butter and holding up the empty jar, she exclaims, “Spatula trick works every time!”

No more waste

Viewers applauded Rachel’s useful peanut butter hack.

“Can’t let any peanut butter go to waste!” one viewer commented.

“You can also make overnight oats inside [the jar],” another viewer suggested.

If you love peanut butter and hate waste, this might just be the hack for you!
