People have strong opinions about how to properly store cutlery

Evidently, people have strong opinions when it comes to how they store their cutlery.

On April 17, the Facebook pageHow to DAD” shared a photo of what it deemed to be the proper way to store forks, spoons and knives.

“I’m sorry but if your cutlery drawer doesn’t go in the order of ‘knives, forks, spoons’ then you need to go,” it wrote.

Since being posted, the controversial photo has received more than 11,000 reactions. In the comments, people have also both sounded off in agreement and expressed their anger and disbelief.

Though they’re the overwhelmingly minority, some people agree with this hot cutlery take.

“Yes! I actually thought I was the only one who did this!!” one person, who agreed with the ‘knife, fork, spoon’ order, wrote.

For the most part, though, people do not think that this is how cutlery should be put away.

In the comments, one person argued that it should be forks, knives and then spoons “just like you’d lay them out when setting the table.”

Another person said that the right way to do it is forks, spoons and then knives because that’s the “same way they’d be put beside a plate for [a] right-hander.”

Yet another person claimed that the correct order is spoons, forks and then knives “cause spoons are always first out for cereal and dessert.”

Who knew people had such strong opinions about cutlery!
