I couldn’t resist trying Natural Light’s new Pineapple Lemonade beer

Natural Light, a.k.a. Natty Light, just launched its new Pineapple Lemonade Naturdays, the newest in its line of fruit-flavored light beers.

Joining Strawberry Lemonade, the new flavor comes just in time to spiritually transport us to our dream Spring Break … while we sit in our apartments.

The very kind people at Anheuser-Busch sent me a couple of cans to taste test — which was perfectly timed, since temperatures in New York City are hitting 60 degrees and I’m starting to feel rabid.

I am a classic guy’s girl in many ways, one of them being that I love beer, so I was looking forward to seeing if I should add Naturdays to my lineup of coping mechanisms fridge necessities.

Before I tasted it, however, I first had to “check the vibes,” as the kids say. I was not dressed appropriately in my sad overworn sweater and leggings combo.

As my friend eloquently put it, I needed to “defrost my Jimmy Buffet persona.”

Once I was cocooned in a breezy Hawaiian shirt and topped off with a bucket hat that was roughly half a size too small, I was in Spring Break mode and ready to give Natural Light my undivided attention.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that this new iteration of the Naturdays line is excellent. It’s heavy on the pineapple, but in a good way, where I almost feel healthy for drinking it. I felt like I was at a resort — I could really smell the chlorine of the nearby pool, and could even hear a family fighting over sunscreen application.

The Pineapple Lemonade Naturdays toes the line between lager and hard seltzer. It’s also sweeter than a hard kombucha, although it still didn’t make me feel bloated after finishing a can.

With the launch comes a sweepstakes competition from Natural Light where fans can enter to go to a tropical deserted island with their friends.

“At a time when traditional Spring Breaks and vacations don’t look like they used to, Naturdays Pineapple Lemonade is arriving on shelves just in time to bring a taste of paradise to 21+ college students and recent grads,” the company said in a press release. “That’s why Natural light wants to send you and your crew to a tropical deserted island for the most epic — and most socially distanced — Spring Break of the year (or any year) — because who knows how to do Spring Break better than Natty?”
