‘Shark Tank’s’ Pizza Cupcake is the ultimate combination of comfort food

Chef Andrea Meggiato has perfected the artisanal Pizza Cupcake. Now, you can get them delivered straight to your door.

Meggiato resides in New York City but is the first of his Italian family to immigrate to the U.S. Meggiato and his business partner and wife Michelle Jimenez-Meggiato have taken the Pizza Cupcake to numerous pop-ups around the city and even on Shark TankSo what is the Pizza Cupcake? It’s a gourmet, cupcake-shaped pizza snack.

Tune in as In The Know’s Nick Rudzewick gives the Pizza Cupcake a try right at home. Here’s Nick’s verdict.

The treat is filled with fresh mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes with a flaky crust made with “trade-secret” dough. The family-owned business bakes each batch in Brooklyn and ships to most states in the U.S.

“This [is a] super cool snack you buy, on the website, frozen. It gets shipped to you on dry ice, and then all you have to do to heat it up is pop it in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes,” Nick says.

Nick removes the Pizza Cupcakes from the oven, and they look just like they do on the box.

“Wow,” he says after his first bite. “That is good!”

You can get your box of Pizza Cupcakes on the website, where you can choose between pepperoni toppings and Margherita style. Prices start at $25.99 for 12 pieces.
