This parent on TikTok shared a video where a pretend dentist appointment from her young daughter almost turned into a real one after the toddler hit her in the mouth with a toy hammer.
TikToker Sierra Layhew (@littlemamalayhew) is a parent and vlogger who posts clips of fun moments with her husband and children. Recently, Layhew shared a video where a pretend dentist appointment courtesy of her young daughter got a little too real, and viewers are cracking up in the comments over the relatable mishap.
The clip, cheekily captioned, “Never coming to this dentist again,” opens with a selfie shot of Layhew sitting in a playroom about to receive some dental work from her toddler.
Holding up a brightly colored plastic toy reflex hammer, the little girl eagerly enters the frame.
“You lost your tooth,” the toddler determines, quickly examining the inside of Layhew’s mouth. Before Layhew can respond, “No, I didn’t,” her daughter gives her two front teeth a hard tap with the toy hammer.
Stunned by the sudden blow, Layhew lurches her head back and covers her mouth with her hand.
The video closes with Layhew taking deep breaths to manage the pain as her daughter continues to tap at her with the toy hammer.
Layhew’s video had viewers cracking up over young children’s universal inability to recognize their physical strength.
“Omg, my goddaughter SHOVED a toy screwdriver up my nose [so hard] I cried. What’s with these kids?” one godparent commented.
“Well, she is doing what the dentist would do. Cause pain, then blame you for not flossing correctly,” joked one user.
“[She] didn’t specify if you lost your tooth before or after the visit,” one TikToker noted.
Hopefully, after Layhew’s dental appointment with her toddler, she went to another dentist’s office for a second opinion.
