Starbucks customers are obsessed with an all-new fall menu order hack

The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Chai Frappuccino is going viral just in time for fall drink season.

TikTok users have already spent the last few weeks freaking out over Starbucks’ latest fall drink, the Apple Crisp Macchiato. Now, they have another “secret” drink to debate.

The Pumpkin Spice Chai Frappuccino, which isn’t actually on the official Starbucks menu, is part of the long-running trend of TikTok-famous drink order hacks. The “secret” menu has certainly been a point of controversy — with some baristas claiming the drinks are “designed” to get them fired. But still, it seems like a new custom beverage goes viral each week.

In this case, it’s the Pumpkin Spice Chai Frappuccino. The frozen drink is a take on the chain’s beloved Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. Basically, it just involves adding some nice, spicy chai flavor.

The menu hack seems to have started with a barista named Creig Silimon (@creigsilimon). In a now-viral TikTok, Silimon called it the “best flavor combination.”

Silimon first shared the drink in 2020, but his concept resurfaced in recent weeks. That’s likely due to the fact that Starbucks’ pumpkin-spice items are seasonal, only surfacing on the menu for a limited time each year.

In his clip, Silimon shows how to make the drink. He combines whole milk with three pumps of pumpkin-spice syrup, plus four pumps of chai. Then, he adds a cream base and ice before blending. After that, he coats a cup in pumpkin spice and pours in the frap before topping the whole thing off with whipped cream and, of course, more pumpkin spice.

TikTokers largely praised the menu hack.

“Bro, you are awesome!” one user wrote.

“Mmm,” another wrote.

“Do you make these for customers or just yourselves?” another asked.

Overall, it seems pretty easy to order the drink. According to PopSugar, all you have to do is ask for a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino with chai. Sometimes, the “secret” menu isn’t that secret.
