Jamaican-British R&B singer Mahalia is still basking in the glow of her 2019 album Love and Compromise and Grammy-nominated song “All I Need.” But after dropping the 2021 single “Jealous” featuring Rico Nasty, her next project is nothing short of highly anticipated.

In the meantime, the rising star shared her nighttime skincare routine for ultra-moisturized, dewy skin with In The Know.

Mahalia always made skincare a part of her life. When she was a girl she would sneak into her mom’s room and steal some of her night cream and moisturizer.

“I think the key to flawless skin, firstly, is looking after it,” Mahalia told In The Know. “It’s important to keep a regime and not change it too much. Also water. I think water is really important. When I am dehydrated for long periods of time, I definitely notice how my skin changes.”

Step 1: Cleanse with Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r

Mahalia lightly wet her face and then massaged the cleanser in. She then wiped it off with a damp towel for a light facial massage and deeper cleanse.

“This cleanser is super soft and super lovely. So far I haven’t had any issues with my skin,” Mahalia said.

Step 2: Tone with Fenty Skin Fat Water

“With most toners, I’m kind of used to putting some on a cotton pad and going in on my skin,” she explained. “But I like this one because I can use my hands. So it just feels a bit softer.”

She poured a few drops of the toner into her hands and gently rubbed it into her skin in a circular motion.

Step 3: Eye cream using Fenty Flash Nap

Mahalia placed a few dabs of Flash Nap straight from the tube under her eyes then rubbed it in using an upward motion with her ring fingers.

“I think the main thing I wished I knew about skincare sooner was eye cream,” she said. “I always had really tired eyes. Then I started using eye cream and I just noticed that underneath my eyes really brightening up.”

Step 4: Moisturize with Weleda Skin Food

Mahalia prepped her skin with moisturizer before her night cream so that she’d go to bed extra dewy and hydrated.

“I found this a few months ago through my makeup artist, I could not believe how my skin felt after it. So this is incorporated into my day and night routine,” Mahalia said of Weleda Skin Food

She placed a few dollops of the moisturizer in different sections of her face and gently rubbed it in.

Step 5: Night cream with Fenty Skin Instant Reset Night Cream

Mahalia dotted the night cream onto her face and patted it in.

“My favorite part, especially of my nighttime routine, is putting my night cream on,” she said. “It’s the end of it and also just the way that my skin feels right before I got to bed is so nice.”
