5 recipes that scream ‘fall coziness’

There’s no doubt about it — autumn is the coziest season! As the weather gets chillier and the leaves begin to change, you might find yourself craving some comfort foods to go with your cozy fall mood. If that sounds like you, throw on your favorite sweater and turn to TikTok, where chefs are sharing some seriously cozy fall recipes. Here are five TikTok recipes that scream “fall coziness.”

1. Pumpkin mac ‘n’ cheese

Nothing says autumn like pumpkin! To make this hearty pumpkin mac ‘n’ cheese, start by sautéing some pancetta, setting it aside once it is cooked through. Next, sauté onion, garlic and sage, and combine with milk and flour to create a sauce. Then, add pumpkin puree, pecorino cheese and cheddar cheese to finish the sauce, and mix in some large pasta shells. 

2. Fall orecchiette pasta with butternut squash

This orecchiette pasta with butternut squash is the perfect fall comfort food. To make it, start by baking some diced butternut squash. Then make a sauce out of more butternut squash, minced garlic, vegetable broth, white wine, kale, onions and heavy cream. Once the sauce thickens, add in your roasted butternut squash and pasta. Top your pasta with parmesan and sage, and enjoy!

Who says breakfast can’t be cozy? These baked veggies and eggs are the perfect cozy breakfast for a cool autumn morning. To make them, start by baking some potatoes, tomatoes, garlic and onions. When the veggies are nearly cooked through, add some spinach and cook for another five minutes. Finally, crack three eggs directly onto the baking sheet, and bake for 15 more minutes. Enjoy the veggies and eggs with your favorite hot sauce

4. Microwave baked potato soup

If you’re craving cozy food in a hurry, try this microwave baked potato soup recipe that only takes a few minutes to make! Start by microwaving some diced potatoes. Then, in a bowl, mix hot water, corn starch and milk, and microwave. Finally, add some butter and the potatoes, and top the soup with bacon, cheese and scallions. It’s that simple!

5. Vegan stuffed acorn squash

This autumnal vegan dish is stuffed with quinoa and veggies and so full of flavor! To make it, slice an acorn squash in half, remove the seeds, and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes.
