“When I saw the chicken salad I admit I made a face,” he wrote.
She asked him what was wrong. He explained that he wasn’t in the “mood for cold food” after skating in the cold all day.
When he explained that he wanted to warm up his insides, she told him he was being “ridiculous.” After going in circles for a while, he told her he was just going to heat up some soup.
“When I came out of the kitchen with my soup she was clearly upset,” he explained.
Redditors thought he was being insensitive.
“Making a rude face isn’t necessary. That’s kind of basic manners,” a user said.
“If you wanted something warm for dinner, you should have articulated that in advance,” someone replied.
