A man discovered he could order delivery from his local movie theater and then roasted the entire premise.
Delivery apps like Uber Eats, Postmates and Seamless have made it possible to get all kinds of things right to your doorstep. But when TikToker Jenkem Jones found out he could order food from Regal Cinemas on Uber Eats, he thought it was a step too far into absurdity. He shared his commentary in a video, saying, “I hate this dystopia.”
“I am starving, man. I am so hungry. Let me just Uber Eats some Regal Cinemas food,” Jones said sarcastically.
He scrolled through the movie theater’s menu, which featured soft drinks, boxes of candy, popcorn and other treats – all of which had the familiar hefty movie theater prices.
“I am just craving some movie theater nachos,” he ranted. “Man, look at those nachos. I would love to pay a delivery fee for a dry a** Nathan’s hot dog. Who the f*** is buying this s***? What kind of psychopath — does somebody murder their wife and then order this s***? That’s insane.”
The funny video racked up over 300,000 views on TikTok.
“Think this is insane? My stepdad used to make me go into the movie theater just to buy him popcorn,” a user wrote.
“Over $7 for a watered-down fountain drink,” someone said.
“I probably would for the popcorn!” another added.
