Midas was born with an adorably small pair of ears protruding from her dominant set of ears. The anomaly is caused by a gene mutation that the 4-month-old cat inherited. Her second set of ears doesn’t aid or impede her ability to hear — they just give her face more character. She also has a patch of white fur on her chest in the shape of the heart.
Despite her unusual features, Midas was adopted by Canis Dosemeci, who hails from Turkey. The kitten, a Russian blue mix, has amassed 80,000 followers on Instagram. People watch Midas play with her Labrador dog siblings, 12-year-old Suzy and 14-year-old Zeyno, as she grows up and enjoys her new home.
“She is a very playful cat. But very friendly as well. She sleeps all day and is awake all night,” Dosemeci told Daily Mail. “She loves to sleep on my chest or shoulder.”
“Today, it has been a month since I came home. I love my family,” Dosemeci wrote in the caption of a video where she gave Midas a belly rub.
Another clip showed Midas crawling right up next to Suzy while the 12-year-old dog slept on the couch. Midas spooned the big dog and nuzzled her. The kitten looked like she felt right at home.
“It cannot get any sweeter than this right here,” a user commented.
“That looks comfy,” another wrote.
“My head just exploded from adorable overload,” someone said.
