Retired kindergarten teacher’s former students surprise her on high school graduation day: ‘A teacher’s dream’

This retired kindergarten teacher got the surprise of a lifetime when some former students dropped by.

TikToker Kim Hamilton‘s mother retired from her job as a teacher years ago. But it’s pretty clear the former educator made a huge impact. Students from the teacher’s last graduating class before she retired left her stunned when they came to visit her. This time around, they were graduating again — from high school. It was a full-circle moment.

“Hey! Congratulations. That’s cool,” the teacher said when she spotted a former student from her porch. “What’s going on?”

Suddenly, multiple students wearing caps and gowns began to flood in. Almost a dozen of her old students came into surprise.

“Oh my gosh. Did you know this was happening?” she said to Hamilton, who was recording. “Oh my gosh, I love you all. Oh my gosh, you’re all just gorgeous.”

The retiree teared up as she hugged each member of the group of graduates.

“Your last graduating class, mama. That’s your last group of kindergarteners,” Hamilton said

The emotional video racked up 3.2 million views on TikTok.

“Proof they never stop being our kids after they leave us,” a person wrote

“I have tears and chills!!!! This is a teacher’s dream!” another said

“The best gift a teacher can receive is seeing her former students bloom,” a user commented
