Ironically enough, retro kitchen gadgets have become a timeless trend. This is largely due to the popularity of Smeg electronics — notably its electric kettles. Though they’re absolutely stunning and make a great conversation starter, these kettles retail for up to $220.
However, in reality, most folks who want to achieve this aesthetic without having to spend an arm and a leg deserve a cheaper option, and the folks at Galanz created the perfect one for just under $60.
Galanz Retro Electric Kettle With Heat Resistant Handle and Cordless Pour, $56.49 With Ticked Coupon (Orig. $59.99)

Currently $160 cheaper than Smeg’s best seller, Galanz’s beautiful electric kettle combines both style and functionality. It features all of the well-known features of most high-end electric kettles on the market, like fast-boil, automatic shut-off, boil-dry protection, stay-cool handle, cordless pour and more.
Boasting a powerful 1500-watt heating system, the Galanz Retro Electric Kettle boils water lightning fast — we’re talking 1.7 liters of water in under seven minutes.
The kettle’s lid, spout and interior are made of durable 100% stainless steel and are completely plastic-free. The heat-resistant handle also comes in handy to prevent burning and allow safe and easy pouring.

If you’re forgetful, this is the electric kettle to get thanks to its auto shut-off technology which turns the kettle off when the water has started to boil. The boil-dry safety feature also comes in handy as it turns the kettle off when little to no water is detected.
The Galanz Retro Electric Kettle also has an extra-large water window to view the water level and a 360-degree swivel power base for cordless convenience. Also, its easy-open lid makes filling and cleaning a breeze.
The only downside to this kettle is that it only comes in one color: Retro Red. This, however, is easy to look past given the amount of money you’ll save opting for the Galanz over the pricey Smeg. If you’re looking for a more muted color, this one from Oster is also under $60 and looks just as premium.
Since this is a newer release, customer reviews are still trickling in, but we anticipate that this will sell out soon given its affordable price and luxe design.
