If her name is any indication, Purser loves bags.
“This is, like, my childhood fantasy. Just being in a store with beautiful purses,” said Purser while observing some designer bag offerings behind a glass case.
The first purse that catches her eye is a Chanel Green & Bronze Quilted Calfskin Half Flap Jumbo for $8,450. “These are so pretty,” says Purser. “This feels very mermaid to me. I was a big fantasy nerd when I was a kid so I was like, ‘This is the one.’ It’s very iridescent.”
The next bag that caught Purser’s fancy was the compact Chanel Black Quilted Satin Box Vanity Mini, which, despite its small size, comes with a big price tag of $5,350.
“I’m all about the tiny purse trend,” Purser told In The Know. “I don’t have any tiny purses, but I need to get one, because there’s something so precious [about them]. It makes you just feel like a giant.”
Purser soon lays eyes on a bag that takes her breath away.
Approaching a Gucci Black Velvet Marmont Crossbody for $1,170, Purser says, “Truly in the words of Marie Kondo, ‘This sparks joy for me.’ I am overwhelmed with emotion just looking at [this].” Purser described the crystal adorned bag as “art deco,” and “opulent.”
Purser seems to have a thing for embellishments as she quickly moves on to a Gucci Black Leather Embellished Padlock Bag for $1,565 with beaded strawberry appliqués.
“I love the little strawberries,” gushed Purser.
She then talked a bit about how she would style the bag. “I feel like if I were to style this it would be with something very simple. I’m a big fan of having a statement piece and then letting the rest of the outfit just be chill.”
While Purser loved many bags at What Goes Around Comes Around, the one that she claimed described her the best was a Chanel Black Quilted Lambskin Oval Minaudiere for $3,950.
“I don’t know that it’s necessarily the most practical thing, but there’s just something so powerful about it,” Purser said about the round bag.
“I feel like anybody who walks around with a clutch, there’s just something powerful about them. They’re on the go, they’re on the move, they’re carrying their stuff with them. They don’t need a strap, they’re too cool for a strap,” Purser explained about the round clutch.
She eventually summed up her feelings about the bag by simply saying, “It’s special.”
