Salsa recipes to savor on Taco Tuesday and beyond

While buying a jar from the grocery store might seem like the quickest and most convenient option, making your own salsa at home is easier than ever, thanks to the collection of recipes on TikTok. From mango salsa to salsa verde, spice up your meals with these five salsa recipes.

1. Mango salsa

This refreshing salsa is packed with a citrusy fusion of flavors. The recipe features a mélange of diced mangos, jìcama, strawberries, cucumbers and red onions topped with cilantro and jalapeños, along with lime juice, honey, salt and pepper. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, serve and enjoy!

2. Corn and black bean salsa

This recipe combines the fresh taste of corn with the smooth texture of black beans. Start by adding corn, black beans, diced red onion, finely chopped red and orange bell peppers and diced jalapeños to a bowl. Next, season with chili powder, ground cumin powder and salt. Then sprinkle in some chopped cilantro followed by lemon juice. Finally, mix and dip!

3. Pineapple salsa

Take presentation to the next level with this pineapple salsa. First, take a pineapple and slice it down the middle, leaving the crown intact. Then scoop out the pineapple meat. Next, mix chopped pineapple, red onion, Roma tomatoes and jalapeños. Top with cilantro and a sprinkle of sea salt followed by lime juice. 5. Salsa verde

Nothing quite compares to homemade salsa verde. This recipe involves broiled tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic cloves and onions blended with cilantro, cumin and chicken bouillon. Once the ingredients are puréed, pour them into a serving bowl and enjoy!
