You’ve heard of Williams Sonoma and Le Creuset, but have you heard of these five small cookware brands? You don’t have to shop at big-box stores to get high-quality cookware, and you shouldn’t when these pretty options are on the table (or on the stove or the oven).

Take a look below at these five small businesses making nonstick, stainless-steel and cast-iron cookware that’s affordable yet durable and definitely stylish.

1. Great Jones

Stand-Out Product: The Dutchess, $125 (Orig. $160)

Sierra Tishgart and Maddy Moelis founded Great Jones in 2018 to empower home cooks with colorful yet functional and affordable cookware. The name “Great Jones” was inspired by Judith Jones, a cookbook author and editor who published works by Julia Child and James Beard, among others. The name is also a nod to New York City, where the business is located (Great Jones is a street in the NoHo neighborhood).

You may notice that all Great Jones products have fun, cheeky names. Take Holy Sheet for a baking sheet or Breadwinner for a loaf pan, for example. Although the names sound silly and the products are colorfully chic, don’t be fooled. This is some seriously great cookware and bakeware. If anything, check out its popular Dutch oven called The Dutchess.

2. Goldilocks

Everything, in the words of Goldilocks, is “just right” for the home cook.

You can start off with its 12-inch skillet or go all out with the Cookware Set Plus, which includes a a 1/5-quart saucepan, a 3-quart saucepan, a 10-inch skillet, a 12-inch skillet, an 8-quart stockpot and three lids. Get free shipping and free returns with every order.
