Teen discovers tiny snake peeking out of her bathtub drain

A Maryland teenager got quite the scare when she discovered a tiny snake slithering out of her bathtub drain.

Trin, a 17-year-old from Baltimore, shared footage of the serpentine intruder on TikTok, where it has since been viewed over 2.6M times.

“Why is there a snake in my tub?” she asks in the clip. “There are snakes in Baltimore now?”

Trin then turns on the spout to chase the creature, which appeared to be a small garter snake, back down the drain from which it emerged.

However, the snake clearly had other plans, as it quickly began slithering up the side of the tub to dry land as Trin let out a blood-curdling scream.

TikTokers, it seems, were equally freaked out by the video.

“I felt the scream in my soul,” one wrote.

“That’s my worst fear either that or the toilet,” said another.

“Do you understand how paranoid id be showering for the rest of my days,” added a third, with yet another adding, “I’m not showering for the rest of my life.”

However, a few select users actually considered the tiny snake to be a welcome house guest.

“Awwww it’s so cute,” wrote one TikToker. “I would keep it.”

“Why is the snake kinda cute tho,” said another.

Sadly, in a follow-up video, Trin revealed the snake ultimately met its demise shortly after the initial clip was filmed.

“The snake is killed,” she said in the TikTok.

Apparently, after spotting the snake in the drain, Trin left the water running and ran upstairs to tell her mom, who then called a local maintenance man to take care of the situation.

“He came over, he took a poll [and] he killed it,” she said. “I didn’t watch him do it, I was too scared to go down there.”

“For people who love snakes, I’m sorry, it’s gone,” she added.
