A lot of people have chosen to forgo their gym memberships, even as gyms have reopened in 2021. Why? There are more affordable and convenient ways to get in a good workout at home. Case in point: The SoulCycle at-home bike.
You can take a SoulCycle class in major cities across the U.S. (and even in some places across the globe). However, if you don’t live near a studio or prefer to exercise on your own time, you can do the same incredible workout at home on your own SoulCycle bike. And right now, you can get the bike for $600 off.
The bike regularly costs $2,500, but this sale makes it only $1,900. Additionally, you’ll receive free shipping and installation (an $850 value!) when you order your SoulCycle at-home bike now through Nov. 30.
Another plus: The bike ships in one to two weeks, so you’ll receive it before the new year, just in time to jumpstart your fitness resolutions for 2022.
SoulCycle At-Home Bike, $1,900 (Orig. $2,500)
If you’re not familiar with SoulCycle, it’s the boutique indoor cycling studio launched in New York City in 2006. Each class is a beat-based “cardio party,” where riders follow an instructor to ride to the beat of the music. Classes are traditionally 45 minutes long, with a five-minute arm-toning workout incorporated.
However, SoulCycle is now part of the Equinox Group, which takes us to its latest venture with Equinox+. Equinox+ by Equinox is an app that offers classes from SoulCycle, PURE Yoga, Precision Run, Rumble, [solidcore], Headstrong and TB12 (Tom Brady’s workout program). You can purchase the app as a standalone digital membership for $40 per month to take advantage of all of the classes, but it’s most fun with the SoulCycle at-home bike.
The SoulCycle at-home bike has a 21-inch touchscreen, speakers and a power meter for measuring cadence, power and mileage. The bike can accommodate riders between heights of 4-foot-10 and 6-foot-10 and up to 350 pounds.
Paired with the Equinox+ app, you can take live and on-demand SoulCycle classes that are 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes long. Plus, there are five, 10 and 15-minute arm workouts and stretching sessions you can add on. All of the classes feature popular music from your favorite artists. You can even sort classes by musical genre if you want.
Riders can also “free ride,” which essentially means you can ride the bike without taking a class. Of course, while all indoor spin bikes can do this, SoulCycle’s allows you to connect your Spotify, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime accounts to watch movies, TV shows or listen to your own music.
If you’ve never taken a SoulCycle class or even taken a spin class before, no big deal. On the app, you can sort classes by your personal fitness level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. However, it also offers tutorials for how to set up every part of the bike, proper riding form, how to do certain choreography, how to clean the bike and more. During class, there’s also a form rider that demonstrates at a side angle how your body should be positioned.
If you’ve been looking for a new (better) way to work out at home, give the SoulCycle bike a spin. Equinox+ offers a 30-day risk-free trial. If you don’t like it within your first month, you can return it for a full refund, and the company will coordinate a pick-up.
If you’re still unsure, check out this editor’s review of the SoulCycle at-home bike after riding it for 30 days.
