Adding a soundbar to your entertainment setup is the easiest way to boost the sound quality of your TV. While there may be tons of soundbar options on the market, not all of them deliver in performance and quality.

Bose remains one of the most premium brands in audio. From headphones to soundbars, they have the game on lock. But shoppers say this Polk Audio soundbar and subwoofer bundle blows Bose out of the water — both in affordability and sound quality.

The ultra-slim Polk Audio Signa S3 soundbar comes with a wireless subwoofer and built-in Chromecast. Also, for added hands-free convenience, it works with Google Assistant.

At just two-inches tall, the Signa S3 soundbar fits most spaces. More importantly, it won’t block your TV’s bottom edge or IR remote sensor.

This is a particularly helpful feature for those who are switching from a taller and boxier soundbar like the popular Vizio 2.0. On sale for just $85 right now, this Vizio has been my soundbar for years. Though it got the job done and displayed average sound quality, its height became an issue when paired with my Vizio 55-inch M-Series Quantum UHD smart TV.

The Polk Audio Signa S3’s slimmer and flatter form allow it to sit perfectly just below the TV’s bottom border with a little space to spare.

This soundbar is also truly on par with the mid to high-range options on the market. The main comparison among shoppers, though, is its likeness in sound quality to Bose’s soundbar lineup.

“I [couldn’t] be happier with this soundbar. It exceeded my expectations,” one five-star reviewer wrote. “The Bose I had before didn’t sound this good and I paid twice the price for it.”

Another reviewer who paired the Polk Signa S3 with her 55-inch Vizio television, shared a similar sentiment, adding that “this system packs almost as good of a punch” as her 2.1 Bose speaker system.

One shopper described this soundbar as the “best bang for your buck.” However, he wishes it came with a better remote and had more expansive sound modes.
