With the Fourth of July just days away, it’s time to get patriotic.
In The Know’s cocktail of the week, a star-spangled blueberry mojito, will help relieve some stress while showing off your patriotic spirit. Sip this refreshing, fruity cocktail while you relax, unwind and prepare for any fun festivities.
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, plus extra for garnish
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- 2 tsp. sugar
- Juice of 2 limes
- 4 oz. white rum
- 3 oz. blue curaçao
- 6 oz. club soda
To make a patriotic blueberry mojito, muddle the mint leaves and sugar in a cocktail shaker using the end of a wooden spoon or muddler. Next, add the lime and blueberries and continue muddling.
Place the rum and blue curaçao into the muddled mixture and shake well. Pour the drink through a strainer into two glasses filled with ice. Finally, top the drink off with club soda and garnish with blueberries.
