Starbucks barista shows TikTok how to order a ‘secret’ Pokémon-themed drink

A Starbucks employee is turning heads with their hack for ordering a “secret” menu item.

The drink, shared by TikToker samthebarista, is actually a blast from the past. It’s a recreation of a Pokémon-themed frappuccino the chain sold back in 2016.

That beverage was continued years ago. But, you can get it as a custom order — with a few simple asks.

Don’t worry: You don’t have to be a Pokémon super-fan to enjoy the drink. Really, you just need to love vanilla, raspberry and plenty of whipped cream.

As Sam explains, the drink is essentially a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with raspberry syrup and dried berry inclusions. The barista also suggests asking for heavy cream so the drink takes on a thick, milkshake texture.

The result is a “lavender” drink, which bears a striking resemblance to the Pokémon Mewtwo. Flavor-wise, there’s guaranteed to be a lot of sugar in there.

TikTok users praised the hack, whether they were Pokémon fans or not. Others said they were aware of the custom order and “always” got their fraps this way.

“This is the only thing I order,” one user wrote.

“My favorite,” another added.

Some commenters, however, wrote that the hack didn’t work. They claimed that they’d asked for the custom order and were told their Starbucks didn’t have the right ingredients.

Regardless, most users seemed excited to learn about a new drink. Many flooded Sam’s video with comments requesting how-tos on other trendy Starbucks items.
