Who is Sunny Malouf? The singer raised eyebrows with a bombshell song about Josh Richards

Sunny Malouf is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter, dancer and actress with a massive online following. At the time of writing, she has 1.1 million Instagram followers and 95,500 YouTube subscribers.

Recently, Malouf left fans stunned when she revealed that her 2020 single “Disposable” is really about a fling with mega influencer and TikTok star Josh Richards. Here’s everything you need to know about the teen who’s sparking major drama with Richards’ fans and his girlfriend.

How old is Sunny Malouf?

Malouf was born in Dallas on March 2, 2004, to her mother Liliann Malouf and father Richard Malouf. She has two brothers, Richie and Gavin.

She’s a singer who is managed by Kevin Jonas.

The 16-year-old has been interested in becoming a performer from an early age and started working with choreographers and modeling very early on.

She launched her YouTube channel in 2014 at just 10 years old and her 2015 single “Lightning in a Bottle” featuring the rapper Silento helped catapult her to fame.

The eldest Jonas brother, Kevin Jonas, manages Malouf. She signed to TMT Music Group, headed by Floyd Mayweather, Jr., in 2017.

For a time, Malouf was a member of Jake Paul’s content creator collective known as Team 10. In 2018, she even toured with the group all across North America.

She recently shocked fans when she revealed that she had had a summer fling with Josh Richards.

On Dec. 16, Malouf revealed that her song “Disposable” is about TikTok star Josh Richards.

“I wrote this song because I was left heartbroken. I had a fling in the summer of 2019 with a guy and then he ghosted me. He left me for another girl,” she said on Instagram.

Two days later, she dropped a TikTok to “expose” who the song was about.

“I wasn’t going to reveal who this song was about, but this is my story. This song is about Josh Richards,” Malouf said. “I’m not afraid to say he left me heartbroken.”

Richards has been on and off with influencer Nessa Barrett since the beginning of the year and fans speculated he had a crush on her long before that.

Barrett commented on a post about Malouf’s revelation and simply said, “lol what.” Richards has yet to comment on the accusation.
