Finding truly sustainable brands at major department stores can seem like a fruitless treasure hunt. After all, many mainstream brands don’t quite fit the criteria of being low impact and environmentally friendly, and finding the ones that do have green values can take a lot of research.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is on right now through Aug. 30 and even the sustainably savvy can’t resist these deals. And, yes, there are actually brands that those of us who lean green can feel confident in when shopping the savings event.
To help you find the hidden eco-friendly options, we’ve vetted brands currently hosting deals during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale based on their environmental practices, sustainable transparency and human rights practices. Many of the brands are also certified B Corp, which is a status awarded to companies with the highest standards of performance, transparency and accountability around social and environmental responsibility.
